‘Amauliq’ is the Inuvialuktun word for snow bunting, the first bird to return to Tuktoyaktuk every year as a welcomed sign of spring. Amauliq Residency provides artists with an immersive opportunity to learn about Inuvialuit land and culture. Multifaceted support is available for producing and documenting site-specific projects, developed in consultation with the Residency Director, Inuvialuk artist Maureen Gruben.
